Judge Susan Peikes Gantman of the Pennsylvania Superior Court swore in Cozen O'Connor's first-year associates.
This was Gantman's 15th year inducting the firm's next class of lawyers. The swearing in occurred in the Philadelphia offices of Cozen O'Connor.
Involved in the event were partner Vincent R. McGuinness Jr., Rohan Mohanty, Matthew S. Robbins, Ryan Kelly, Nicholas Berenato, Julie P. Dostal, executive chairman and CEO Michael J. Heller, and Gantman.
Additions
Eckert Seamans added associate Michael T. Regan to the firm's Philadelphia office and business division.
Regan focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, including copyrights, trademarks, licensing of intellectual property, domain name enforcement and intellectual property litigation.
His practice involves matters relating to the maintenance, protection and enforcement of his client's intellectual property rights.
He is involved in both litigation and transactional matters concerning his clients, including drafting litigation documents, conducting trademark and copyright clearance searches, composing cease-and-desist letters, and counseling clients on matters relating to copyright licensing.
His experience involves working with clients in a range of industries including the biotechnology, hospitality, insurance and retail fields.
Regan earned his Juris Doctor from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law in 2019.
Regan is a member of the American Bar Association intellectual property law section, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association.
Speakers
Chief Judge Maurice Foley of the U.S. Tax Court is set to deliver the annual Frank and Rose Fogel Lecture at Temple University Beasley School of Law at noon Nov. 20.
His remarks, titled "Pathways and Pitfalls: A Candid Discussion of My Path to the Bench," will center on his service as the first African American judge appointed to that bench as well as his prior service in both the executive and legislative branches of the federal government.
Attendance is free, and the event will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.

Meyer, Unkovic & Scott kicked off its second Kindness Card Project.
The project was developed by the firm's wellness and diversity committees to encourage the spread of kindness and appreciation during the holiday season and throughout the year.
Led by attorney Beth Slagle, more than 50 staff members and attorneys volunteered to create hand-painted cards that are available for purchase.
All donations collected for the cards will benefit 412 Food Rescue and its food distribution and food waste mitigation initiatives throughout the Pittsburgh region.
In addition, employees of 412 Food Rescue volunteered to paint cards.
The 2019 Kindness Card collection is now on sale on the MUS website.
The organization 412 Food Rescue was founded as a direct response to the disconnect between food waste, hunger and environmental sustainability.
Its portfolio of food recovery initiatives ranges from building technology and logistics infrastructure to creating new markets for products that redirect good food from feeding landfills to feeding people.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls.
