- On Dec. 3, the Philadelphia Bar Association will present a CLE-video encore: landlord-tenant appeals and motions program, from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. (continental breakfast and registration begin at 8:30 a.m.), at the Philadelphia Bar Association, 1101 Market St., 11th Fl. Conference Center, Philadelphia. This CLE program is free of charge to any attorney who commits to volunteer for six hours in the First Judicial District's Elder Justice Resource Center (EJCRC). It will address some of the most common issues reported by the staff in the EJCRC that the volunteer attorneys are likely to encounter, and offer possible solutions for these situations. The panel's goal is to prepare volunteers for any matter that may arise. Judicial and court personnel will be present at the training to provide an introduction to the video and close the program by distributing the necessary volunteer documents. The volunteer attorneys staffing the EJCRC will be expected to provide short-term, limited legal advice or representation only, pursuant to Pa.R.P.C. 6.5, within three months of the program in order to receive their CLE credits. A signed volunteer agreement with a listing of hours worked must be received in the EJCRC to grant the free CLE credit. 2 SUB/1.0 ETH CLE credits are available. Register at www.philadelphiabar.org.

Last year more than 6,000 new toys and items were delivered to over 1,500 boys and girls throughout the Philadelphia region. The toy drive requires months of preparation that culminates on delivery day, which will be held Dec. 21. Visit https://sccalaw.org/upcoming_events/.
