Morgan Law announced principal Kenneth Morgan was appointed to the Businesses Committed to South Jersey board of directors.
An member of BCSJ for more than 10 years, Morgan is a proponent of the organization's goal to encourage commercial, industrial and residential growth by increasing the visibility among businesses in target markets throughout South Jersey.
Morgan Law represents clients in acquiring, financing and leasing commercial real estate, and Morgan also provides counsel for buyers and sellers of assets in businesses.
A graduate of Rutgers Law School, Morgan held previous positions as partner at a local midsize law firm, an associate at an Am Law 100 law firm and vice president and commercial lender with a financial institution.
BCSJ was fouded as Businesses Committed to Burlington County in 1970 to promote the common good and general welfare of the members of the Burlington County community by focusing on the orderly development of the commercial/industrial and residential climate of the county, ensuring that standards of quality are maintained, mainly through educational, public relations and promotional events.
In 2016, the organization became Businesses Committed to South Jersey, with the same goals but expanded reach throughout the region.

Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg named William R. Hinchman as co-chair of the firm's litigation department.
Hinchman joins Paul G. Nofer in leading the firm's largest department, effective Jan. 1. Hinchman is a trial attorney concentrating in all facets of complex commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on claims involving troubled businesses.
Hinchman is an instructor with the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and regularly presents at seminars discussing advanced trial strategy, evidence and courtroom skills.
A former trial attorney with the Army's Judge Advocate General's Corp, he is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and he volunteers by providing legal services to military veterans.
He earned his law degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partner Catherine M. Ward was presented with the Society of Women Environmental Professionals of Greater Philadelphia's Touchstone Award at their 23rd Touchstone Award Reception.
Ward was recognized for her 30-year legal career in the environmental and energy sectors.
The Touchstone award is presented to recognize a woman whose contributions encourage and promote the leadership, achievement and professional development of women in the environmental professions; provide a setting for women in the environmental professions to meet, share information and work experiences, and establish a communications exchange; educate members on developments and trends in the environmental field; encourage and promote the development of business relationships; and encourage and promote public service in the environmental field.
Ward is co-chair of Stradley Ronon's environmental practice group.
Her practice involves advising developers and municipalities in connection with regulatory compliance redevelopment projects.
She serves as vice president of the New Jersey State Bar Association environmental committee, president of the Women's Energy Network of Greater Philadelphia and board chair of the
Wynnefield Overbrook Redevelopment Corp., which is affiliated with Saint Joseph's University.

Lorie Dakessian, a partner at Conrad O'Brien and vice-chair of the firm's Title IX, due process and campus discipline practice, presented at a CLE organized by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education titled "College Disciplinary Hearings Involving Sexual Harassment and Assault—What is the latest?".
Dakessian spoke about internal campus disciplinary proceedings and considerations when representing the respondent.
Dakessian represents college students and professors throughout the country who are subject to university disciplinary proceedings or appeals for any alleged Title IX or code of conduct violations.

The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
