The Pennsylvania School Boards Association recruited William Zee, partner and chair of Barley Snyder's education practice group, to help provide trauma-informed training to school directors across the state.
Zee will be part of a PSBA-selected team that will help school directors receive what is now state-mandated training on how to be trauma-informed when dealing with students.
Trauma-informed training and education helps school officials know how past trauma students have experienced can affect their daily lives and how those school officials can properly deal with students affected by trauma.
Zee is set to be part of the PSBA's training team on the following days: Tueday at Penn Manor School District in Lancaster County, Wednesday at Berks County Intermediate Unit 14, Saturday at State College in Centre County, and Jan. 11 at the PSBA headquarters in Cumberland County.
A former teacher and education administrator, Zee is a member of the board of directors for Leadership Lancaster, the Lancaster Education Foundation and Aaron's Acres.
