Attorneys and staff at Capehart Scatchard helped the youth and families in need served by Legacy Treatment Services.
During the month of November, the firm collected food and monetary donations to benefit the nonprofit organization's annual holiday food drive.
Legacy Treatment Services is a human service agency dedicated to improving the lives of children, adults and families struggling with behavioral health and developmental challenges.

Wendy Castor Hess, a partner at Landau, Hess, Simon & Choi was honored with the fifth Pennsylvania Bar Association Immigration Law Pro Bono Award.
The award was created to annually recognize the pro bono accomplishments of an individual or organization working with the PBA in the area of immigration law.
It is given to those who provide a service resulting in a provision of legal services to the neediest of foreign nationals on a pro bono basis or as part of legal aid outreach.
Hess is the current and founding co-chair of the PBA immigration law committee.
She is the PBA Pro Bono Office's primary contact when individuals need assistance on immigration matters.
Hess represents individuals and businesses in all facets of immigration matters. Fluent in Spanish, she also represents individuals in family-based cases and serves as counsel to the Mexican Consulate in Philadelphia.
Hess served as a member of the board of governors of the Philadelphia Bar Association, as chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association immigration committee and as a board member of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society Pennsylvania.
She previously served as president of HIAS, as chair of the Philadelphia chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young partner Steve Feinour served as a panelist at the 2019 ETF Synapse Conference co-hosted by Nasdaq and CFA Society New York.
The panel, "Exploring ETF Industry Perceptions," highlighted how the media, regulatory bodies, industry groups and research firms all play important roles in the exchange-traded funds industry.
Feinour is a partner in Stradley Ronon's investment management group and counsels investment companies and investment advisers in connection with various regulatory, compliance and transactional issues.
He regularly advises clients on matters such as the formation, registration and ongoing regulation of investment companies, including index-based and actively managed ETFs.

McNees Wallace & Nurick attorney Charis Mincavage is slated to lead the Central Pennsylvania chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers event titled "Pennsylvania Energy Regulation: What you need to know."
The event is set to take place Jan.16 in Harrisburg.
Mincavage will speak to the group of energy managers and energy consultants about how present and future legislation and regulatory policy impacts an electric distribution company's billing components.
She will cover nonmarket-based transmission costs, formula transmission rates, potential changes on the horizon and what consumers can do to control their energy costs.
Mincavage practices in the McNees energy and environmental practice group, where she focuses on issues involving natural gas, communications, water and electric utility services.
She has represented and counseled large commercial and industrial customers in proceedings before both federal and state administrative agencies, as well as at the appellate level, including providing advice on issues related to legislation impacting energy regulation.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.
