Kevin R. Marciano, managing partner of Marciano & MacAvoy, spoke at a CLE sponsored by the Guy D. DeFuria American Inn Of Court of Delaware County.

The CLE was titled "Ins and Outs of Openings and Closings."

Marciano spoke on the use of themes in an opening and when to advise the jury of bad facts.

Marciano concentrates his practice on representing catastrophic injury victims, handling cases involving liquor liability, products liability, medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, premises liability, construction accidents, slip and fall, and personal injury.

Wisler Pearlstine announced that Christopher E. Ezold, a partner with the firm, presented on the topic of "E-Signatures and Electronic Contracts: Compliance Tips and Authentication Issues" at the National Business Institute's CLE seminar Online Legal Research, Google Scholar, MS Office and Other Technological Skills in Legal Practice.

Ezold is a member of the firm's business department and an assistant director of the General Counsel Initiative.

Ezold has 25 years' experience advising businesses and professionals on corporate matters, finance, equity and asset purchases, mergers and acquisitions, taxation of transactions, corporate and investor rights, technology issues, contracts, operational matters, employment issues, intellectual property rights and licensing and regulatory compliance.

His practice also includes litigating commercial, business and employment matters in state and federal court and before federal and state agencies.

Ezold acts as outside general counsel for clients in industries including biotech/life sciences, commercial and consumer services, health care, technology and more. In the health care area, he advises on business and employment matters and how to navigate regulatory obligations.

He also has experience advising employers on noncompetition agreements and deferred compensation plans.

Ezold is a child advocate with the Support Center for Child Advocates and a member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery bar associations.

Tucker Arensberg announced that Ryan P. Siney was designated by the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a certified information privacy professional.

Founded in 2000, the IAPP is a not-for-profit organization that helps define, support and improve the privacy profession worldwide.

The CIPP/US certification is awarded to those who demonstrate an understanding of U.S. privacy laws and regulations.

Siney advises large companies, small businesses and startups regarding intellectual property, technology, software, e-commerce, licensing and other commercial and business transactions.

Siney's clients are focused in the fields of technology, health care, entertainment, e-commerce, media, financial services, manufacturing, transportation and real estate.

Siney received his Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State Dickinson Law.
