Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin is the recipient of the 2019 Diversity & Inclusion Award from Liberty Mutual Insurance.
The award recognizes the law firm's service to the community and legal profession. Marshall Dennehey's president and CEO G. Mark Thompson accepted the award during a reception at the Liberty Mutual Legal Academy held at the firm's Boston headquarters in November.

Willig, Williams & Davidson announced that partner Stuart W. Davidson was honored with a City of Justice award from the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy.
Davidson serves on the advisory board of LAANE.
He was recognized at the organization's City of Justice Awards Dinner.
In addition to Davidson, the 2019 awards also honored Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers; Susan Genco, co-president of The Azoff Co.; and Ann Cohen, manager of EVX Team and Davidson's wife.
Davidson and Cohen were honored for their lifetime of achievement on behalf of social justice.
Their award was presented by former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick, who also gave the keynote address.
Davidson advocates for labor unions and the workers they represent.
He represents public and private multiemployer benefit funds.
His work includes leading contract negotiations, presenting interest and grievance arbitrations and advising on external and internal union matters.
Davidson serves as chief counsel to large regional and local unions along the East and Gulf coasts and in the Chicago area.
A longtime Philadelphia union leader, Cohen led her members through two strikes and won contract provisions on their behalf.
She spearheaded the creation of the Joint AFSCME and City of Philadelphia Internship and Apprenticeship Program, which works with high school students.
After retiring from public service and union leadership, she became the manager of the EVX team, which designs, builds and competes with alternative fuel vehicles at the Workshop School, a public high school in West Philadelphia.
Elected and Appointed
Bethany R. Nikitenko, an attorney at Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock Dodig, was elected to the executive committee of the young lawyers division of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
Nikitenko represents individuals and families who were catastrophically injured by medical malpractice, auto and motor vehicle accidents, unsafe buildings, defective products and sexual abuse.
She is a volunteer attorney for Philadelphia VIP, an organization that helps low-income Philadelphians access free legal services.
She serves as a member of the development committee for Women Against Abuse, an organization that advocates for victims of domestic violence in Philadelphia. She also serves on the executive board of the Philadelphia chapter of the American Jewish Committee.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. Attorneys from A&O Shearman has stepped in as defense counsel for Toronto-Dominion Bank and other defendants in a pending securities class action. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. Crown Castle International, a Pennsylvania company providing shared communications infrastructure, has turned to Luke D. Wolf of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani to fend off a pending breach-of-contract lawsuit. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Susan K. Declercq, is 2:24-cv-13131, The Town Residences LLC v. T-Mobile US, Inc. et al.

Wilfred P. Coronato and Daniel M. Schwartz of McCarter & English have stepped in as defense counsel to Electrolux Home Products Inc. in a pending product liability lawsuit.
