This event brought together Philadelphia area white-collar defense attorneys and professionals for an evening of networking and holiday celebrations.

The University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School is slated to hold a screening of the film "The Report" with post-film panel discussion.
This Amazon Studios thriller starring Adam Driver and Annette Bening chronicles the Senate Intelligence Committee's real-life investigation of the CIA's use of torture post 9/11 and Senate staffer Daniel Jones's seven-year investigative journey and 6,700-page report.
The movie screening is set to be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. with the following panel from 5:45 to 7:14 p.m. Jan. 16.
The program is approved for 3.5 ethics CLE credits for Pennsylvania lawyers.

Lee A. Schwartz, founding partner of the Schwartz Law Firm, was honored as the 2019 recipient of the Herbert R. Weiman Sr. and Jr. Award by the family law section of the Philadelphia Bar Association at the section's annual dinner and celebration.
The Weiman Award is given to an attorney for her or his dedication to the family law bar and service to children and families of Philadelphia.
Schwartz's practice is dedicated to serving people with divorce, child custody, grandparent and stepparent rights, relocation, high-net-worth cases including stock options and business issues, child support, alimony, division of property, protection from abuse and the drafting of marital agreements.

Fisher & Phillips announced the election of 17 attorneys to partnership.
The new partners represent a cross-section of the firm's labor and employment service offerings, including employee defections and trade secrets, global immigration, labor relations, litigation, wage and hour, and workplace safety.
Michael Avila, Samantha Bononno and Heather Steele are the new partners based in the firm's Philadelphia office.
Avila is an international employment and trade secrets attorney.
Bononno focuses her litigation practice on representing employers in a disputes including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, unfair labor practices, and FMLA claims.
Steele's practice includes defending employers against employment-related claims and advising clients on personnel management and statutory compliance issues.

Jordan Strokovsky was elected co-chair of the state civil litigation section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.
The section serves to advance the development of the law and to further continuing education within the field of state civil litigation.
Strokovsky is a trial lawyer and founder of Strokovsky LLC, representing plaintiffs in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases that involve medical malpractice, birth injury, truck accidents, premises liability, negligent security, dram shop, products liability, worksite accidents, civil rights and sexual assault.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
