Gross McGinley announced attorney Michael Blum was promoted to senior counsel.
Blum is a litigator in the firm's criminal defense and personal injury practice groups.
Blum's career includes dismissals of professional liability actions, dismissals and withdrawals of felony charges, and personal injury and civil settlements and verdicts.
In the community, Blum serves on the board of directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Allentown. He also volunteers as an attorney coach to the Parkland High School Mock Trial team.

Capehart Scatchard announced that workers' compensation shareholder Lora V. Northen was named to the firm's executive committee.
Northen focuses her practice in the representation of employers, self-insured companies and insurance carriers.
Certified as a trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in workers' compensation law, Northen is a member of the New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Burlington County and Camden County bar associations.
Northen is also a fellow of the College of Workers' Compensation Attorneys for the American Bar Association.
She is a frequent speaker on workers' compensation issues before several trade organizations.

Charny, Karpousis, Altieri & Donoian partner Rebecca A. Berger spoke about her professional and personal experiences with RadioVision Network host Chantelle Fitzgerald on "It's All About Mindset," a half-hour look at career tips from industry leaders.
Berger recounted her path to becoming a legal secretary-turned-prosecutor and law firm partner.
Berger discussed how she spent 12 years putting herself through law school while working full-time and raising her daughter as a single mother for the majority of those years.
She spoke about her days in the courtroom as a prosecutor, advocacy in the area of domestic violence and becoming partner after four years with the firm.
Berger began practicing law 13 years ago and represents clients in divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, property settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements, domestic violence and municipal court matters.
Prior to joining the firm in May 2015, Berger worked as an assistant Burlington County prosecutor for seven years, handling criminal cases on behalf of the state of New Jersey.
During her four years in the domestic violence unit of the Prosecutor's Office, Berger trained law enforcement officers in the investigation and prevention of domestic violence.
She is a member of the state and local bar associations and is co-chair of the Burlington County Bar Association family part section.
In November 2019, Berger was appointed to the New Jersey Supreme Court State Domestic Violence Working Group—a group responsible for resolving the systemic issues facing the courts in the area of domestic violence.
A former member of the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office domestic violence unit, she has experience in this area and advocates in such matters of abuse.
Admitted to practice law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Berger is an associate member of the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law Inns of Court.
She also volunteered with the Domestic Violence Project and state of New Jersey mediator and community dispute resolution committee.
She regularly speaks at seminars on domestic violence and other family law matters.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
