Elected and Appointed

Eastburn and Gray announced that Erin Kernan Aronson and Sarah A. Eastburn were elected shareholders of the firm, effective Jan. 1.

Aronson concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial transactional law, real estate and employment law.

She also represents school districts regarding issues of federal and state law.

She routinely represents clients in various industries, including business, banking, and education.

She earned her Juris Doctor from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. Eastburn's professional practice at Eastburn and Gray includes wills, trusts and estates, Orphans' Court litigation and taxation.

She advises clients at all stages of estate planning including wealth transfer, asset protection, elder law and succession strategies.

She earned her law degree from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University.

Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock Dodig announced that Andrew K. Mitnick was named a partner.

Mitnick, who joined Feldman Shepherd in 2009, focuses his practice on medical malpractice, birth and neonatal injuries, personal injury, unsafe drugs and medical devices, and nursing home abuse and neglect .

Mitnick helped obtain multimillion-dollar recoveries in cases throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and elsewhere.

Mitnick earned his Juris Doctor from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1997.

He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Gawthrop Greenwood partner Patrick M. McKenna was elected president of the Chester County Bar Foundation for 2020.

McKenna's service begins following his tenure as president of the Chester County Bar Association.

Programs supported by CCBF include Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania, Domestic Violence Center of Chester County, Crime Victims' Center of Chester County and Family Service of Chester County.

McKenna began her membership with the Chester County Bar Association in 2002 and served as vice president, treasurer and secretary.

In addition, McKenna is a past chair of the young lawyers division and a past chair of the judicial evaluation committee and the bylaws committee.

McKenna is chair of Gawthrop Greenwood's government and education law department.

McKenna and his team provide legal counsel to cities, townships, boroughs, police departments, planning commissions, municipal authorities and zoning hearing boards.

The firm advocates at government meetings; advises elected boards on governance, open records and other issues; litigates municipal, school, land development and zoning matters through appeal; and drafts legislative and policy documents for municipal governments.

McKenna received his law degree from Widener University Delaware School of Law in 2001.

He holds court admissions in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
