Kang Haggerty & Fetbroyt, a business litigation boutique with offices in Philadelphia and Marlton, New Jersey, announced that Kandis L. Kovalsky and David R. Scott were elected to the firm's membership, effective Jan. 1.
Kovalsky focuses on a range of high-stakes complex commercial and business-related civil litigation in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York state and federal courts and arbitral tribunals.
She earned her Juris Doctor from the Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.
Kovalsky is admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
Scott focuses on business litigation matters that include partnership disputes, contact disputes, civil RICO, creditor's rights and breach of fiduciary duty.
He also devotes aspects of his practice to construction litigation and insurance bad faith.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the Wake Forest University School of Law.
He is admitted to the practice of law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Lauren Dentone, an attorney and partner with Gawthrop Greenwood, joined the Legal Aid of Southeastern Pennsylvania board of directors.
Dentone focuses her law practice on criminal defense, family law and litigation.
She draws from her work as solicitor for the Chester County department of children, youth and families, as well as more than 10 years of trial experience both prosecuting and defending criminal cases.
Such cases included domestic violence, protection from abuse orders, driving under the influence, drug possession, violent weapon offenses, assaults, property crimes and homicide offenses.
Dentone also has experience in employment matters and assists clients with any potential implications to current or future employment due to a criminal charge.
Dentone is a member of the Chester County Bar Association, the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry, and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, where she serves on the rules committee.

Pond Lehocky Giordano LLP associate Julie Fritsch is set to speak at the United Steelworkers Local 8041 members meeting Feb. 18.
She will discuss what union members should know about their rights should they be injured on the job or develop a work-related illness.
Local 8041 is a part of the United Steelworkers, which represents 850,000 workers in the metals, mining, paper, rubber, chemicals, glass, auto supply and energy-producing industries.
Fritsch joined Pond Lehocky last July as an associate in the firm's Pittsburgh office.
Certified as a workers' compensation law specialist by the Pennsylvania Bar Association, she represents injured workers.
Before joining Pond Lehocky, Fritsch was a partner at a Pittsburgh law firm where she represented claimants and plaintiffs in workers' compensation, personal injury, veterans' and
Social Security disability matters at the administrative, trial and appellate levels.
Prior to practice, she completed a judicial clerkship with Judge Jolene Grubb Kopriva of the Blair County Court of Common Pleas.
She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
She is also accredited by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to represent veterans with claims for disability benefits.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls.
