Susan E. Piette, partner in the trusts and estates practice at Hamburg, Rubin, Mullin, Maxwell & Lupin, was interviewed on "Legal Talk With Stacy Clark," a new show on MLTV-Main Line Network.

Piette provided information and advice on subjects including wills, estate planning and estate administration.

Piette concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, elder law, guardianships and estate administration.

She also assists families with family wealth management and business succession planning.

She guides clients in creating customized estate plans with asset protection and complex distribution patterns.

Her focus also includes an emphasis on the senior population and individuals with long-term care Medicaid needs.

In addition to her estates practice, Piette has experience in municipal law, land use, zoning and real estate matters, and she utilizes her background in contracts, regulations, compliance, negotiations and committee and board interaction to assist her clients in analyzing and implementing their estate and long-term care plans.

She is a member of the Pennsylvania and Montgomery bar associations, the Mayflower Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Elected and Appointed

Hyland Levin Shapiro announced that partner David R. Dahan was elected to serve his second three-year term on the board of directors and was appointed to serve as treasurer for the Community Associations Institute (Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley chapter).

As treasurer, Dahan will serve on the executive committee.

The Community Associations Institute is dedicated to providing education and resources to foster vibrant, responsive and competent community associations and helping them promote harmony and responsible leadership.

Dahan's practice includes representing condominium and homeowner associations.

He provides counseling on all aspects of association matters including day-to-day business and legal issues, transition from the developer, and litigation.

Dahan provides a range of legal advice and services involving drafting, negotiating and enforcing all governing documents, association service contracts, rules and regulations, developer transition, construction defect litigation, municipal services and relations, regulatory compliance, insurance claims, member disputes, restrictive covenant interpretation and fiduciary duties of board members.

Dahan's practice also includes commercial litigation.

He represents business and nonprofit entities matters including unfair competition, trademark infringement, violation of noncompetition, nondisclosure and nonsolicitation agreements, fraud, breach of contract, real estate construction, shareholder disputes and business divorces.

He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association. Additionally, Dahan is the liaison for the New Jersey Regional Counsel of the Community Associations Institute (Pennsylvania and Delaware Valley chapter) and a member of the American Bar Association.

Klasko Law announced Allie K. Dempsey joined as a senior associate attorney in the firm's Philadelphia office.

Dempsey has experience with employment-based immigration matters and works with corporate clients to obtain nonimmigrant status for global talent.

She provides legal advice to corporate and individual clients on a range of immigrant and nonimmigrant matters.

She guides clients through the immigrant visa process, helping professionals, advanced-degree individuals and multinational managers and executives obtain permanent resident status in the United States.

Prior to joining Klasko Law, Dempsey practiced immigration law in a boutique firm setting. She has experience with naturalization, marriage and family-based immigration, and humanitarian matters.

Dempsey received her Juris Doctor from Penn State Dickinson Law and served as a legal intern with the Department of Justice, Executive Office for Immigration Review, as well as a law clerk to

Judge Terrence R. Nealon of the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas.

She is currently admitted to practice law in New York and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
