Jessica L. Mazzeo, chief operating officer of Griesing Law, is set to present at the "'Plenary 4' Scaling Women Owned Firms in the Law" event at the inaugural Women Owned Law Symposium.
The daylong symposium will include insights from a range of women legal entrepreneurs, as well as business advisers and representatives from majority-owned law firms and corporations dedicated to promoting gender diversity in the law.
The event is slated to be held from 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. March 11 at the Thomas R. Kline Institute of Trial Advocacy.

The Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel is set to hold a luncheon CLE program titled "Pennsylvania Personal Injury and Personal Jurisdiction Update" at 12:30 p.m. Feb. 18 at Maggiano's, 1201 Filbert St., Philadelphia.
One substantive CLE credit is offered. Price is $90, which includes a luncheon.

The Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School is slated to host a book talk about "Facts and Fears: Hard Truths From a Life in Intelligence" by James R. Clapper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 27.
The event is open to the public and free and will be followed by a reception.
This program is approved for 1.5 ethics CLE credits for Pennsylvania lawyers. CLE credit may be available in other jurisdictions as well.
In this account, Clapper, retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant general and former director of national intelligence under President Barrack Obama, provides a look inside the U.S. intelligence community as he traces his career through his service under every president since President John F. Kennedy and more recently through the wars in Syria, Ukraine and Afghanistan; the Benghazi attack; Edward Snowden's leak of classified information; and Russia's interference in the 2016 election.
The program will be moderated by Claire Finkelstein, CERL's founder and faculty director.

McNees Wallace & Nurick announced the return of Robert F. Young, who spent 17 years serving as deputy chief counsel to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.
Young will practice in the McNees energy and environmental law practice group, representing and counseling clients on matters involving electric, natural gas, pipeline, water/wastewater and other public utility and non-public utility service.
He is also an appellate litigator, who represents clients in state and federal appellate courts in utility and non-utility cases.
During his tenure at the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, Young provided legal, policy and regulatory advice to the commission in all electric, natural gas, Marcellus Shale and pipeline matters, analysis of proposed state and federal legislation, rulemakings, appellate litigation,
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission proceedings, PJM interstate transmission organization matters, and the supervision of all Law Bureau attorneys assigned to federal and state energy matters.
Young was previously a deputy attorney general in the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General antitrust section where he investigated and enforced antitrust laws in state and national transactions and conducted joint investigations with other states, the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission.
Young received his law degree from Syracuse University College of Law.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
