Appellate Law Group announced that Virginia Hinrichs McMichael is slated to be a panelist at the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Civil Litigation Section Retreat.
McMichael will participate in a panel titled "A Different Persuasion: Argument Before the Appellate Courts," during which she will present a mock oral argument before a panel of Pennsylvania judges.
McMichael, the founder and managing attorney of Appellate Law Group, represents clients in appeals to the Pennsylvania state and federal courts.
McMichael represents parties in civil and criminal appeals, including contract and land use disputes, and family law matters involving paternity, divorce and support.
The PBA Civil Litigation Retreat is set to be held from April 24 to 26 at the Grand Hotel in Cape May, New Jersey.
The retreat is open to all attorneys and includes 7 hours of CLE credit.

Timoney Knox announced that Robert M. Runyon III joined the firm, effective Feb. 3, as a partner.
Runyon, of Radnor, is part of the firm's insurance industry group.
He will concentrate his practice on complex insurance coverage, the litigation of commercial/extra-contractual matters and alternative dispute resolution.
Runyon's practice will focus on matters throughout the nation for both domestic insurers and the London market.
Prior to joining Timoney Knox, Runyon worked for the last eight years as a senior vice president for Chubb North America Claims.
While at Chubb, he was responsible for commercial property and marine claims handled with the assistance of independent adjusters across retail property, excess and surplus, multinational, inland marine, programs and specialty lines of business.
In addition, when he was in private practice, he led a catastrophic property loss team and represented insurance carriers in a range of complex, multimillion-dollar loss property coverage disputes.
He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Runyon received his Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law in 1996.
Events
Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law is set to host the Sixth annual Fashion Law Symposium, "The Many Faces of Fashion Law," from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
The event, which will bring together lawyers and nonlawyers, focuses on the key players in the fashion industry.
This year's event will include discussions on how leaders of fashion companies interact with both inside and outside counsel to run their businesses.
Sponsored by the Fashion Law Society and the John F. Scarpa Center for Law and Entrepreneurship, the symposium features fashion experts and attorneys in the industry, including Maryann Lawrence, assistant general counsel at Chanel; Shane St. Hill, general counsel at Rent the Runway; Gail Wheeler, vice president, general counsel and secretary at Hermes; and Gabriela Guaracao, CEO and founder of Americae.
The program is approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education board for 3.5 substantive CLE credits.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. Attorneys from A&O Shearman has stepped in as defense counsel for Toronto-Dominion Bank and other defendants in a pending securities class action. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
