Spector Gadon Rosen Vinci announced that Matthew R. Shindell joined the firm as a member in the commercial litigation, health care law and litigation, and insurance coverage and casualty litigation groups.
Shindell focuses his practice on the defense of medical malpractice claims against physicians, nurses, medical practice groups, hospitals, long-term care facilities and community clinics.
He also defends complex liability claims involving consumer products and industrial equipment and handles complex commercial litigation cases.
Shindell is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Additionally, he is admitted to the U.S. District Courts of Pennsylvania's Eastern, Middle and Western districts, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Shindell is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the National Association of Manufacturers and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.
He is a fellow of the ABOTA National Trial College and a judge of elections for Montgomery County–Whitemarsh Middle.
Shindell regularly submits articles for legal, consumer and trade publications.

Rosier has more than 25 years of experience in commercial real estate and paralegal work.
She worked for a national television broadcaster and spent time creating government subcontracts.
Prior to that, she spent 14 years in retail leasing and real estate, where she drafted, researched and administered lease documents for retailers, anchor stores and shopping center owners alike.
She started her career in telecommunications drafting leases and analyzing properties for possible cellular locations.

Blank Rome announced that Jonathan F. Ball joined the firm's Philadelphia office as of counsel in the consumer finance group.
Prior to Blank Rome, Ball served as counsel for LaRocca Hornik Rosen & Greenberg, a boutique law firm representing clients in the New York/New Jersey region, and as vice president and assistant general counsel at JPMorgan Chase & Co.
He brings more than 20 years of experience counseling clients in a variety of financial services matters, business and employment disputes, and class actions.
As a litigator and trial lawyer, Ball handles novel, complex and high-stakes cases involving extensive appellate and motion practice.
He briefs and argues appeals in state and federal courts across the country.
Serving as a member of the firm's consumer financial services team, Ball will collaborate with the firm's New York-based consumer finance team and regularly represent clients in federal district courts and state courts on a variety of consumer finance litigation matters.
A graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law, Ball is admitted to practice law in the state courts of New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States; the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Ninth and Eleventh Circuits; and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of New York, and the District of New Jersey and Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Ball previously served as law clerk to Judge Richard B. Klein of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania and as deputy counsel to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Appellate Court procedural rules committee.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
