Caesar Rivise announced that Saval Desai joined the firm as an associate.

She will practice out of the firm's Philadelphia office.

Most recently, Desai was an associate at the firm of Hoxie & Associates, located in Millburn, New Jersey.

A registered patent attorney and 2018 graduate of Rutgers Law School, Desai has experience representing established and startup companies in an array of domestic and international intellectual property matters with special emphasis on patent prosecution and trademark registration.

Most recently, Desai gained patent prosecution experience in the field of consumer care for a large multinational brand.

With a background in biology and chemistry, Desai provides clients with patent prosecution for both U.S. and international patents.

She provides her clients with assistance in technology-related matters, as well as with international patent law practices.

Her practice includes preparing, filing and prosecuting patent applications and preparing and filing trademark applications.

Desai is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the New Jersey Intellectual Property Law Association.

Pond Lehocky Giordano LLP managing partner Samuel H. Pond was slated to appear via telephone as a special guest on WPHT Talk Radio 1210 AM 7 p.m. March 28.

The program was hosted by Joe Dougherty Jr. and co-hosted by Joe Kraus. Pond was set to join the hosts to discuss the global pandemic and how it relates to workers' rights.

The discussion included workers' compensation, employment law, social security disability and short- and long-term disability.

Pond is a founding and managing partner of Pond Lehocky, the largest workers' compensation and disability law firm in Pennsylvania.

A former president of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, he served for six years as treasurer of that organization's committee for a better tomorrow.

He is also the chairman of the Pennsylvania Alliance.

He previously served in leadership roles for organizations such as chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's workers' compensation section and member of the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners.
