Michael G. Greenfield joined Hyland Levin Shapiro.
He will continue to concentrate his practice in the areas of employment counseling and litigation.
Greenfield advises businesses, large and small, by providing counseling on employment issues, defending employers in both state and federal litigation, and engaging in traditional labor law for unionized workplaces.
Prior to joining Hyland Levin, Greenfield practiced in the labor and employment group at an Am Law 100 firm.
He started his legal career clerking for Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Correale F. Stevens in 2013 and 2014.
Greenfield is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association labor and employment law section, the New Jersey Bar Association and the Sports Lawyers Association.
He received his law degree from Widener University School of Law in 2013.
Events
The young lawyers division of the Philadelphia Bar Association is set to offer Philadelphia-area residents the opportunity to receive free legal advice from volunteer lawyers throughout next week in honor of Law Week 2020.
Starting April 27 and extending until April 30—leading up to Law Day on May 1—licensed, trained lawyers will be available each evening from 5 to 7 p.m. to receive calls from residents seeking legal advice on a range of issues.
By calling LegalLine at 215-238-6333 from 5 to 7 p.m., the following legal practices will be featured each evening with volunteer attorneys trained in each of the following areas:
- April 27: family law
- April 28: housing
- April 29: employment and business counseling
- April 30: wills and estates
LegalLine is a public service sponsored by the Philadelphia Bar Association's young lawyers division, providing residents with free, quick and accurate legal advice during convenient evening hours.
LegalLine is offered typically on the third Wednesday of every month.
The program began over 20 years ago, allowing volunteer attorneys to help thousands of callers through direct service or by referring them to an appropriate resource.

The Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel is slated to offer a complimentary webinar titled "Data at a Distance: The Art of Remote Inspections."
The event is set to take place April 30.
A social "Virtual Lunch" will begin at 12:15 p.m., and the program begins at 12:30 p.m.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
