Astor Weiss Kaplan & Mandel announced that partner Julie A. Auerbach was named a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
In order to be elected to the AAML, each fellow must successfully complete a selection process that includes interviews, examinations and professional and judicial evaluations.
Auerbach began practicing primarily in the area of family law after she graduated from Rutgers Law School in 1992.
Auerbach practices in the counties of Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester, Montgomery and Bucks.
She writes and lectures on a variety of family law-related topics.
She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association family law section and the Delaware County Bar Association.
Auerback serves as a legal affiliate for the Women's Resource Center, on the board of directors of the Supportive Older Women's Network, and as chair of the Glenolden Shade Tree Commission.
She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky announced that shareholders Alan T. Shuckrow and Kathryn L. Clark were slated to speak as part of the Charter School Governance 101 Virtual Training that was presented by the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools Legal for its members.
The four-hour online training was set to cover such topics as charter school governance, current Pennsylvania legal issues, strategic planning for charter schools, and other topics.
Shuckrow served as Strassburger McKenna's president and managing shareholder from 2014 to 2019.
His experience ranges from municipal and education law to civil litigation and real estate.
His clients include large corporations and smaller, entrepreneurial organizations.
Shuckrow's education law practice includes a niche focus on representing charter schools.
He also has experience as a school district solicitor and special counsel to school entities.
Shuckrow has experience representing government bodies, including townships, boroughs, authorities and counties, in cases involving zoning, land use, labor, collective bargaining, Pennsylvania Sunshine Act, Pennsylvania Right to Know Law, and sewage and water issues.
He also represents individuals in public sector-related matters.
In the area of real estate litigation, Shuckrow has experience with tax assessments and exemptions, condominium and homeowner association issues, landlord/tenant disputes, zoning, land use, oil and gas leasing, lender liability, mortgage foreclosures and title disputes. Clark is an attorney in the Pittsburgh office of Strassburger McKenna.
Her scope of practice includes school law with an emphasis on nontraditional educational settings as well as municipal law.
As part of her school practice, Clark acts as an interface between state and county regulatory agencies and nontraditional school organizations.
Clark's public sector practice includes working as part of an Act 47 recovery team that oversees the comprehensive economic recovery of communities including the cities of Johnstown and
Aliquippa, and previously for the cities of Pittsburgh and New Castle.
Additionally, Clark works with land use, zoning, labor and employment.
She served as assistant solicitor for multiple communities in Western Pennsylvania.
She has a range of experience on the Sunshine Act and the Right to Know Law.
Clark handles all aspects of lawsuits from pleading and discovery through trial and appeal.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. Attorneys from A&O Shearman has stepped in as defense counsel for Toronto-Dominion Bank and other defendants in a pending securities class action. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
