Blank Rome announced that Andrew I. Herman and Mariette J. Mooyman joined the firm's labor and employment group as associates in the Philadelphia office.
Herman joins the firm from Curley, Hurtgen & Johnsrud.
He represents employers in a range of labor and employment issues, including restrictive covenant and misappropriation disputes; discrimination, harassment and retaliation litigation and administrative agency proceedings; human resources and personnel matters; employment agreements and policies; legal compliance; wage and hour compliance and lawsuits; and traditional labor relations matters.
Herman is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.
He earned his Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law.
Mooyman joins Blank Rome after serving as in-house counsel for a single-source supplier of industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding equipment and supplies, and safety products as well as a global health service company with integrated health system.
She concentrates her practice on employment litigation and labor and employment matters, working with companies to promote a positive, ethical and legally compliant workplace.
Mooyman is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the District of Columbia.
She earned her Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School.

In a move to help law firms in the United States transition to a successful work-from-home business model, Pond Lehocky Giordano LLP's managing partner Samuel H. Pond is set to appear on the worldwide distributed legal podcast Liticast.
Pond is scheduled speak on the live broadcast at 1 p.m. Thursday.
He will join Litify leaders to discuss how to best transition to a fully remote business model.
Pond will also discuss topics surrounding the firm's practice areas: workers' compensation, Social Security disability, employment law and long- and short-term disability.
The live, unscripted broadcast will be streamed on Litify's channels: LinkedIn, YouTube and website.
Founded in late 2016, Litify is a cloud-base software system whose mission is to empower the legal community to deliver optimal outcomes for their clients with practice management platform for law firms of every type.
Liticast is Litify's new livestream broadcast channel to stay connected, informed and on the forefront of the changing landscape of the legal industry.
The livestreams feature other industry leaders, experts and technology gurus to bring relevant knowledge, connection and opportunity to legal professionals.
The new virtual live series is in place of Litify's in-person events, Litiquest and LitiquestX. Pond also joined on the Litiquest tour last year with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and John Morgan.
Pond is a founding partner of Pond Lehocky.
A former president of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, he served for six years as treasurer of that organization's committee for a better tomorrow.
He is also the chairman of the Pennsylvania Alliance.
He previously served in leadership roles for numerous organizations, including chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association workers' compensation section and member of the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

Edmund Polubinski and Marie Killmond of Davis Polk & Wardwell have entered appearances for data platform software development company MongoDB and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024.
