Joan Righter Price, an attorney in Eastburn and Gray's Blue Bell office, was appointed solicitor to the Delaware County board of assessment appeals.
This appointment comes as a continuation of Price's work to assist the county as it implements a court-ordered countywide reassessment.
The appointment was effective May 15.
Price represents clients in litigation involving real estate valuation, exemption and uniformity issues as well as issues involving preferential assessments.
She assists other counties in the countywide reassessment process and provides technical assistance to various counties on assessment administration issues.
Price represents clients in hearings before local boards of assessment, in the courts of common pleas and the appellate courts of Pennsylvania.
She also served as an expert witness on Act 319 and assessment administration issues.
Prior to joining Eastburn and Gray, Price served as solicitor to the Montgomery County board of assessment appeals for more than 20 years.
She also served as solicitor to the Assessors' Association and helped draft the Consolidated County Assessment Law.

Hercules Grigos, a partner in Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg's Philadelphia and New York offices, is set to participate in Friedman LLP's webinar, "Real Estate in a Post COVID-19 World: Laying a New Foundation for Your Business."
The webinar, moderated by David Gottlieb, will feature a panel of four real estate industry practitioners.
The discussion will focus on COVID-19's impact on the commercial real estate sector in Philadelphia.
Leo Addimando, managing partner of Alterra Property Group; Grigos; Tony Juliano, chief operating officer of JLL Philadelphia; and James Maransky, president of E-Built will answer questions including the following: How is this pandemic affecting businesses and the industry as a whole? What emerging trends should we pay attention to? And what additional changes can we anticipate in the coming months?
The webinar is scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday.

McNees Wallace & Nurick announced that Claudia Shank graduated from the Core Class of Leadership Lancaster 2020.
Shank is an associate in the firm's Lancaster office where she practices in the real estate group.
Shank focuses on representing individuals and developers before municipal entities in land use and permitting matters.
Shank also assists her clients in obtaining zoning relief, including variance, special exception and conditional use approvals.
Shank litigates land use appeals and other real estate disputes.
In addition, Shank assists clients in transactional matters, such as negotiating agreements for the purchase, sale or lease of commercial property.
Prior to joining the firm, Shank served as an assistant solicitor for Lancaster County, where she provided advice to the board of commissioners and county department heads and elected officials.
She uses this experience to advise counties on a range of legal issues, including compliance with the county code, the Sunshine Act and the Right to Know Law.
Before working in the County Solicitor's Office, Shank served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Jeffery D. Wright of the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas and assisted in the development of the county's Veterans Treatment Court.
Shank earned her law degree from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

Yalowitz of Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer have entered their appearances for Hanaco Venture Capital and its executives, Lior Prosor and David Frankel, in a pending securities lawsuit. The action, filed on Dec. 24 in New York Southern District Court by Zell, Aron & Co. on behalf of Goldeneye Advisors, accuses the defendants of negligently and fraudulently managing the plaintiff's $1 million investment. The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls.
