Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg partner Lisa Lori is set to present the Aim Smarter LLC webinar titled "How to Avoid Getting Into Hot Water With Your PPP Loan Funds" on Thursday.
In the webinar, Lori will discuss proper uses of Paycheck Protection Program funds, potential criminal and civil penalties associated with improper use of these funds, guidance on what constitutes proper use of PPP funds, and applying for loan forgiveness.
Lori is a partner in Klehr Harrison's litigation department.
She focuses her practice on a range of high-stakes commercial litigation, employment, and intellectual property matters.
She also represents clients in internal and external investigations and white-collar criminal defense matters.
Lori graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
She serves as a member and chair of the Marywood University board of trustees.
Elected and Appointed
Duane Morris announced that it promoted four associates to special counsel, including Philadelphia lawyers Stuart I. Seiden in the firm's trial practice group and Gretchen L. Temeles in the intellectual property practice group.
Seiden practices in the area of litigation and focuses on representing the interests of clients in state, federal and bankruptcy court litigation matters throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.
He has experience in mortgage-related litigation; consumer bankruptcy, including adversary proceedings; consumer credit card litigation; and consumer and commercial collections litigation.
Seiden's practice includes defending lenders, servicers and credit card companies from actions brought under TILA, RESPA, HOEPA, NJHOSA, ECOA, FCRA, TCPA and state consumer fraud statutes.
He also responds to consumer disputes sent to his clients by state attorneys general offices, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other regulatory agencies.
Seiden also has appellate experience in the mortgage-related litigation space.
Seiden is a graduate of Rutgers Law School.
Prior to entering private practice, he served as law clerk to Judge Allan Vogelson of the Camden County, New Jersey, Superior Court chancery division.
Additionally, Seiden worked for The Sports Corp., a professional hockey agency in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Temeles focuses her practice on patent procurement and patent portfolio management in the biotechnology, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
She counsels clients from multiple industry sectors including established specialty chemical, diagnostic and medical device companies, midmarket biotech companies, medical cannabis and cannabinoids, early-stage startup companies and universities.
Temeles' experience includes both U.S. and international patent prosecution, patent landscape analyses, freedom-to-operate searches, patent due diligence, noninfringement and invalidity opinions and European opposition proceedings.
She works with clients to balance their patent and trade secret portfolios and assists clients with transactional work, including material transfer agreements, sponsored research agreements and licensing agreements.
Temeles has experience in prelitigation and litigation matters in molecular diagnostics.
Temeles is a graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law.
Prior to her legal career, Temeles was a research scientist and group leader in a biotechnology company, where she worked on target identification and small molecule drug discovery.
Previously, she held research positions at the University of Pennsylvania and Merck Sharpe and Dohme Research Laboratories.
Temeles is a co-inventor on two U.S. patents and authored peer-reviewed scientific papers.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls.
