Roy Gordon of Brahin Law Offices presented a webinar to the Greater Bux-Mont Chamber of Commerce on COVID-19 employment issues.

The seminar focused on issues that arise when employees are required to minimize employee hours and expenses during a business shutdown or slowdown, with options ranging from furloughs, reduction in hours or pay, and temporary or permanent layoffs.

These options were presented in light of the Families First COVID Response Act, the WARN Act, the Federal Labor Standards Statute and various anti-discrimination statutes.

Practical strategies were discussed in an effort to minimize employee liabilities.

Gordon focuses his practice in commercial and employment litigation, including noncompetes and trade secret violations, discrimination claims, wage and hour violations and contract disputes.

He litigates matters involving personal injury claims, defamation and real estate defect and construction issues.
