Barley Snyder announced that attorney EmmaRose Boyle was named to the leadership team of a Pennsylvania agricultural committee that will help shape and direct the future of the industrial hemp market.
Boyle is part of a nine-person leadership team of the PA Industrial Hemp Steering Committee, which was formed through cooperation between the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture and Team PA Foundation.
The committee is an advisory body to the department and to the industry in Pennsylvania and is a group of hemp stakeholders and experts that provide guidance on hemp in the state, across the country and around the world.
Boyle is co-chair of the steering committee's policy and regulation subcommittee.
In her law practice, she counsels clients in the hemp-growing industry to track and navigate its emerging laws and regulations, including compliance and risk management.
She writes about the hemp industry, and in 2019 she was a panelist at the Pennsylvania Hemp Summit.
Boyle is a member of the Barley Snyder food and agribusiness industry group, working with clients on compliance issues with state and federal agencies such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.
She is also a member of the firm's business and trusts and estates practice groups and the alternative dispute resolution service team.
She joined Barley Snyder in 2018.
She is on the board of directors for Pennsylvania's Americana Region, which directs tourism in the Berks County area, and she is also on the board of directors at Berks Community Television.

Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg announced that it is set to host the webinar "Understanding and Effectively Implementing the Required and Best Practices Associated With Reopening Your Business" at 10 a.m. Friday.
Lee Moylan of Klehr Harrison and Bryan Schwartz of Odell Studner will discuss policies and practices employers should, and in some cases must, implement to protect employees as many Pennsylvania and New Jersey businesses reopen, including: specific guidance and recommendations related to face coverings, temperature taking, inquiries employers make of employees, and how to handle issues related to employees who cannot return to the office or otherwise need accommodations due to COVID-19 related issues.
Moylan is a hiring partner in the litigation/labor and employment section of Klehr Harrison.
Moylan has more than 15 years of experience practicing labor and employment law and represents employers and employees in a variety of matters at all stages of counseling and litigation.
Moylan's clients range in size from very large to very small companies, including multistate asset/property management and construction companies, a large infrastructure and site development contractor, a major employer in the health care industry, local businesses in the hospitality industry, and small distribution companies.
Moylan is available to her clients to provide counseling on day-to-day workplace issues to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and to mitigate litigation risk as much as possible
Schwartz is director of risk management at Odell Studner.
He possesses over 30 years of experience in risk management.
As director of risk management, he is responsible for the strategic direction of Odell Studner's claims advocacy, risk control and risk management consultant programs.
He leads a team of professionals in developing comprehensive programs for clients that identify, analyze, mitigate and prevent risk—ultimately reducing their risk management costs.
Previously, Schwartz was corporate risk manager for a large heavy civil and highway road construction company, which was awarded the PC360/Nation Underwriter award for Excellence in Workers' Compensation and the Risk and Insurance Teddy Award in Risk Management.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
