Meyer, Unkovic & Scott added Brittany M. Bloam as an associate to the firm's litigation and dispute resolution practice group.
Bloam represents business clients in a variety of litigation matters, including complex commercial disputes, land use and real estate issues, construction cases and employment issues.
She also has experience counseling employers in preventing and defending workers' compensation claims and represents parties in personal injury, negligence and bad faith insurance matters.
Bloam is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association.
She also serves on the leadership board of the American Lung Association and on the board of WoMEN-PGH and is a member of the National Association of Women in Construction.
Bloam earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
Elected and Appointed
Post & Schell professional liability and casualty litigation principal Joseph N. Bongiovanni IV was appointed as a hearing committee member of the disciplinary board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania in District I.
His appointment is effective July 1 and lasts for a three-year term.
Hearing committee members serve the board as volunteers in their respective districts to conduct hearings and act as a formal reviewing body to determine if a case might move forward in pursuit of a particular course of discipline.
Disciplinary board members appoint approximately 150 hearing committee members for a term of three years and may be reappointed for a second three-year term.
Bongiovanni represents clients in complex litigation, including claims involving medical malpractice, professional liability, premises liability and products liability, among others.
He coordinates Post & Schell's annual Week of Giving, which benefits communities and individuals throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Washington, D.C.
He is also a member of the board of the Philadelphia chapter of Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation.
Bongiovanni clerked for Pennsylvania Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald D. Castille.
He earned his Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
