Family law attorney Mariam W. Ibrahim of the law firm of Antheil Maslow & MacMinn in Doylestown was named by Pennsylvania Bar Association president David E. Schwager as one of 18 Pennsylvania lawyers selected for the 2020-21 class of the association's Bar Leadership Institute.

Ibrahim is the only Bucks County candidate chosen for this year's class.

To apply for the BLI, candidates had to demonstrate leadership ability, commit to attendance and participation in the required events, be currently licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, be a PBA member, and be age 40 years or younger or have practiced five years or less. Ibrahim practices exclusively in the area of family law, handling a variety of issues, including divorce, child support, alimony/spousal support, equitable distribution and child custody matters.

Prior to joining Antheil Maslow, Ibrahim served as a judicial law clerk to Judge Jeffrey G. Trauger in the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas.

She is a member of the Pennsylvania, Bucks County and Montgomery County bar associations. Within the Bucks County Bar Association, she is a member of the family law division and vice chair of the women lawyers' division.

She graduated from Western Michigan University Cooley School of Law.

This summer Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts is replaying some of its past CLE and CJE webinars.

PMC is set to host the webinar, "Cosby Trials: Ethical Considerations and Impact of the #MeToo Movement" from noon to 1 p.m. Friday.

The program will examine ethical considerations at trial by looking at the Bill Cosby trials and the impact of the #MeToo movement on criminal and civil litigation.

The presenters are Paul Evans of Baker McKenzie and Ali Kliment of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.

Evans is a partner in Baker McKenzie's employment and compensation practice group.

He represents employers at the U.S. state, federal and appellate level in employment discrimination class actions, employment testing and validation matters, wage-and-hour class and collective actions, multiplaintiff and other complex labor and employment litigation.

Kliment is an associate at Morgan Lewis who defends employment disputes, including discrimination, retaliation, and harassment litigation.

She represents employers in sensitive and complex employment litigation including class and collective actions and single-plaintiff cases.

Because the program is a replay of a previous webinar, PMC will use a recording of the original program.

Kliment will be available for a live question and answer session at the end of the program.

Attendees can earn one ethics CLE credit in Pennsylvania, pending approval.
