Elected and Appointed

Barley Snyder announced that retired Judge Stephen P. Linebaugh was admitted to the American Arbitration Association.

Linebaugh, a retired judge with the York County Court of Common Pleas, is an attorney with Barley Snyder.

He is the chair of the firm's alternative dispute resolution service team, which helps clients achieve favorable, amicable and cost-saving solutions.

He is also a member of the firm's litigation practice group.

Being accepted into the American Arbitration Association puts Linebaugh in a group of attorneys endorsed by the group to perform alternative dispute resolution tactics in cases both locally and across the country.

Formed in 1926, the association holds its members to codes of ethics and standards of conduct to ensure fairness and impartiality in conflict management.

Linebaugh focuses his practice on civil mediation and arbitration, providing alternative dispute resolution throughout the state.

He is on the board of directors at the Margaret E. Moul Home in York, and he volunteers his time with leadership positions to nonprofit organizations such as the Bob Hoffman Dover YMCA, York County Crime Stoppers, Boy Scouts of America, YouthBuild and the York County March of Dimes.

He was the secretary of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and is a former assistant chancellor of the diocese.

The American Bar Association appointed a pair of Greenberg Traurig's labor and employment shareholders for roles within the ABA's section of international law.

Shareholder Kelly Dobbs Bunting, based in the Philadelphia office, will co-chair the international employment law committee for the 2020-21 year.

Jordan W. Cowman, a shareholder who works from the firm's Dallas and Houston offices, will serve as a vice chair for the group.

The members of this ABA group offer forward-leaning analysis on global legal developments in international employment law, as well as insights on the rule of law.

It is Bunting's second consecutive appointment to this post for the section and Cowman's first. Bunting co-chairs Greenberg Traurig's workforce compliance and regulatory enforcement group and the firm's human resources and compliance training group.

She regularly litigates federal and state class and collective actions, defending employers nationwide against wage-and-hour violations, discrimination, harassment and whistleblower claims, breach of employment agreements and more.

Her work brings her before federal, state and municipal agencies, from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor to local human relations commissions.

She drafts and negotiates national and international employment agreements, secondment agreements, settlement and severance agreements.

She represents employers in U.S. Department of Labor audits and investigations and conducts labor and employment due diligence in mergers and acquisitions.

Bunting frequently advises multinational clients on effective workforce policies and practices as well as compliance.

In addition to her work with the ABA, Bunting is a member of the International Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association, where she previously served as co-chair of the labor and employment committee.

She is a graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law.
