The legal profession as a whole is facing a new normal due to COVID-19.

For law students and newer attorneys, the situation can be even more anxiety provoking. It's one thing to adapt to remote work; it's another to learn the ropes of a new job without any in-person contact.

On this Legal Speak podcast, legal business reporter Dylan Jackson talks with two guests about the adjustments they've had to make since the coronavirus outbreak and the pandemic's impact on their career outlooks.

Sarah Shahatto, an incoming third-year law student at the University of California Irvine School of Law, describes how her classmates are responding to the wave of bar exam cancellations. And Daniel Crispino,  who transitioned in May from a federal clerkship to a job at a South Florida litigation boutique, shares his take on what the new normal means for training, networking—and the future of work.
