Keystone Property Group announced the hiring of Jamie Reyle as the real estate company's general counsel.

Based in Keystone's Conshohocken headquarters, Reyle will oversee all of Keystone's legal affairs, including real estate transactions, corporate compliance and litigation.

He will also be responsible for managing the company's relationships with outside counsel as well as advising senior management and executives on legal matters.

Before joining the Keystone team, Reyle was the CEO, president and general counsel of RAIT Financial Trust, an REIT focused on managing a portfolio of commercial real estate loans and properties.

He was responsible for developing, overseeing and directing all strategic plans, operations and objectives, as well as formulating and approving investment and personnel decisions for the publicly traded, hybrid REIT as it transitioned to a monoline mortgage REIT.

He also worked as an associate at both Ledgewood and Cozen O'Connor.

Reyle earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

Events

Capehart Scatchard hosted a remote panel discussion for first-year law students from Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey.

The students are part of the Rutgers Minority Student Program.

Capehart Scatchard attorneys Christopher Chu, Sanmathi Dev, Ashley Mollenthiel, Cameron Morgan, Robert Muccilli, Lora Northen, Jessica Rodio, Michael Rose and Lauren Tedesco and summer law clerks Meline Derderian, Crosley Gagnon, Matthew Kountz and Nina Rodriguez served as panelists participating in a discussion on law careers in private practice.

The panelists shared insights about succeeding in law school, increasing diversity and inclusion in the profession, and the importance of being open to exploring various practice areas and opportunities.

The event was hosted by Capehart Scatchard's diversity and inclusion committee, which Dev leads.

Speakers

Daniel E. Cummins of the Clarks Summit law firm of Cummins Law and of Cummins Mediation Services participated in the first-ever Lackawanna Bar Association live but fully remote Zoom CLE.

The program, created by Cummins, was titled "Mediation/Arbitration Tips."

Cummins served as both a presenter and a moderator for the event.

Other presenters included mediators and arbitrators such as retired Judge Thomas Blewitt of JAMS, Richard G. Fine of Fine Law Firm, Thomas M. Helbig of Helbig Mediation, Lucille Marsh of Marsh Mediation and Arbitration, retired Judge Joseph Van Jura of ADR Options, and retired Judge Thomas I. Vanaskie of Stevens & Lee.

Assistance with the creation of the presentation as well as with the technology on the day of the event was provided by J.P. Cardoni of Exhibit A Digital.

The CLE program provided the attendees with tips of what works and what does not at alternative dispute resolution proceedings and offered advice on how attendees could improve their chances for success at a mediation or an arbitration.

The CLE was presented for a second time for the Luzerne Bar Association.

The program is also being set up to be presented to the Monroe County Bar Association.

The Delaware Business Court Insider is seeking contributors to provide analysis and insight into recent Delaware Court of Chancery decisions, as well as litigation and issues currently of interest to the business law community.
