Insurance coverage attorney Todd J. Leon joined Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin as special counsel in the firm's Philadelphia office.
Previously, he was a partner in the Princeton, New Jersey, office of Hill Wallack.
A member of the insurance services practice group, Leon has more than 20 years of experience defending insurers in complex, high-value coverage and bad faith litigation.
He was lead counsel on multiple coverage claims with values in excess of $1 million.
He has particular experience managing cases that involve sophisticated "risk-shifting" issues, including both additional insurance coverage and contractual indemnification.
He works on an array of insurance coverage matters, spanning a base of first- and third-party claims and policy types.
Leon counsels insurers, third-party administrators and self-insureds throughout the life cycle of a matter, from the drafting of policy language to pre-suit investigation to the drafting of coverage opinions to litigating matters through the trial and appellate courts.
A graduate of Rutgers Law School, Leon is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, Claims and Litigation Management Alliance and the New Jersey Defense Association.
He additionally serves on the board of directors of Shir Ami, the largest reform synagogue in Bucks County.

David Caputo, a founding partner of Youman & Caputo who helps whistleblowers nationally report fraud against the government, was interviewed on the television show MLTV-Main Line Network: Legal Talk With Stacy Clark.
In the interview, Caputo discussed what kinds of fraud should be reported to the government, including schemes that involve unlawful receipt or misuse of PPP loans and in the health care industry; the compensation that whistleblowers may be entitled to; and how the law protects those who do report fraud from any retribution or retaliatory actions by their employers.
Caputo represents clients with information about a variety of schemes to defraud the government, particularly Medicare and Medicaid fraud.
He was co-counsel for the whistleblowers in a New York case that netted $54 million for the United States in 2019.
He was also lead counsel for the whistleblower in a $35 million U.S. False Claims Act settlement in Arizona.
He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and served as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Caputo is a member of Taxpayers Against Fraud, a national organization of lawyers who represent whistleblowers, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.
He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Philadelphia-based Conrad O'Brien partner Patricia Hamill is set to serve as a speaker in the upcoming D.C. Bar Association webinar, "The New Title IX Regulations: A New Era."
The program is scheduled to be held from 4 to 5:30 Aug. 3.
It will cover key aspects of the new Title IX regulations and how the regulations impact higher education institutions and students, as viewed from varying perspectives.
Justin Dillon of KaiserDillon is set to act as moderator.
Joining Hamill in the presentation will be Laura Dunn of L.L. Dunn Law Firm and Maureen P. Holland of Cozen O'Connor.
At Conrad O'Brien, Hamill represents clients in a range of matter, including complex commercial litigation, Title IX litigation, receiverships, insurance, securities, consumer class actions, government investigations and e-rate compliance.
She is chair of the firm's Title IX, due process and campus discipline practice.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls. The court action, filed Nov. 25 in Michigan Eastern District Court by Hooper Hathaway PC on behalf of The Town Residences LLC, accuses Crown Castle of failing to transfer approximately $30,000 in utility payments from T-Mobile in breach of a roof-top lease and assignment agreement.
