Janet C. Edelstein, an attorney in Flaster Greenberg's trusts and estates practice group, was appointed to the board of directors of BookSmiles, a nonprofit organization aimed at giving underserved children in Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs the opportunity to build personal libraries.
In this role, Edelstein is responsible for developing and maintaining book acquisition and fundraising in Philadelphia's Pennsylvania suburbs.
BookSmiles' growing Pennsylvania operations will augment the collection and current distribution of approximately 20,000 children's books per month to book deserts in the metropolitan Philadelphia area.
