The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Thursday denied a petition calling for a diploma privilege that would allow recent law graduates to be licensed without taking and passing the bar exam.

The court did not offer any reasoning for its denial of the petition, which was filed Aug. 17 by a group called Law Students for Equitable Responses to COVID-19.
