McNees Wallace & Nurick attorney Denise Elliott is slated to co-present the virtual workshop "COVID-19 and Workers Compensation: What You Need to Know" for the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday.

Elliott, along with Dr. James Rochester of WORKNET Occupational Medicine, will discuss what makes an illness an "occupational illness" and thus compensable under workers' compensation.

The duo will explore how compensation may respond to the coronavirus and whether employers are at risk of workers comp claims if an employee is diagnosed with the virus while employed.
