Gov. Tom Wolf on Sept. 15 vowed to appeal a Pittsburgh federal judge's order striking down his executive orders limiting business activity and gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic.

U.S. District Judge William Stickman of the Western District of Pennsylvania's decision differed from two previous opinions delivered by federal judges weighing Wolf's orders, which called for the closure of restaurants, theaters and other gathering places and curtailed the number of persons who could congregate in person.
