A Pennsylvania Superior Court upheld a lower court's 2019 ruling that a woman is entitled to half the proceeds of a winning $100,000 "Bingo Squared" scratch-off lottery ticket that she purchased with a former paramour.

The case of Colachino v. Jones, which explores whether the purchase of lottery tickets fits the definition of a joint venture, was heard by Judges Mary Jane Bowes, Judith Ference Olson and John L. Musmanno. Bowes delivered the Oct. 9 opinion.
