After 14 minutes of deliberations in a medical malpractice case with a $16 million demand, a Luzerne County jury rendered a defense verdict, finding that none of the treatment provided by the defendants fell below the standard of care.

The plaintiff’s attorney has since filed post-trial motions, raising questions about, among other things, the jury’s ability to return a verdict so quickly.
