A lawsuit filed by U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pennsylvania, seeking to overturn Pennsylvania’s election results by invalidating the state’s recently adopted Election Code has received an icy reception from Democrats as well as several former Republican officials and the GOP-controlled General Assembly.

Lowell Weicker of Connecticut and John Danforth of Missouri, filed an amicus brief with the Commonwealth Court, asking that the judges reject Kelly’s request to invalidate Act 77 of 2019, which, for the first time, allowed Pennsylvanians to vote using mail-in ballots without needing an excuse.
