Former Penn State University president Graham Spanier’s conviction on child endangerment charges has been reinstated by a federal appeals court.

On Tuesday, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit held the lower court erroneously dismissed charges relating to Spanier’s handling of a claim that now-convicted pedophile Jerry Sandusky, formerly an assistant coach at Penn State, sexually abused a child.
