Mike Snyder, the outgoing chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, had ambitious plans for 2020—among them, to raise the organization’s presence in the community, increase resources for the next generation of lawyers and support efforts to cultivate a more diverse community of attorneys.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the retired Philadelphia judge, who currently serves as a mediator or special master with the Dispute Resolution Institute and adjunct professor at the Temple University Beasley School of Law, to get creative with income sources and adapt the association’s programs to a virtual work space.
