The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has agreed to hear argument on a first-impression immunity issue in the case of a woman who was injured walking into a pane of glass at the Philadelphia Family Court.

In an order dated Jan. 11, the justices granted allocatur to the defendant in Brooks v. Family Court of the First Judicial District. The order comes after the Commonwealth Court had rejected the Family Court’s request to immediately appeal a decision allowing the personal injury case to go forward.
