The high court is being asked to determine if the police may enter the home, without a warrant, of a person suspected of a misdemeanor while in "hot pursuit" of that suspect.

The U.S. Supreme Court has the opportunity to reaffirm the "sanctity of the home" provided through the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The high court is being asked to determine if the police may enter the home, without a warrant, of a person suspected of a misdemeanor while in "hot pursuit" of that suspect.
