While it has been a bumpy ride for many proposed class actions against airlines over COVID-related cancellations, a federal judge in Pennsylvania has cleared a proposed class action against Southwest Airlines for takeoff.

U.S. District Judge John Gallagher of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Monday rejected the Dallas-based airline’s motions to dismiss the case, captioned Bombin v. Southwest Airlines.
