A paraplegic lawyer working as an administrative attorney for the Pennsylvania Superior Court who claimed the Unified Judicial System discriminated and retaliated against him for requesting a workplace accommodation can proceed with part of his lawsuit.

U.S. District Chief Judge Juan R. Sánchez of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said plaintiff Francis Giordano’s Americans with Disabilities Act and Title VII claims could move forward; and that he could refile his Family and Medical Leave Act claims, but his Pennsylvania Human Relations Act claims were dismissed with prejudice.
