Faced with the question of whether a county judge violated ethics rules by handling a case in which her son is an attorney, the Commonwealth Court has punted the issue to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

The court’s decision was in response to Erie County Judge Stephanie Domitrovich’s appeal of the county president judge’s order disqualifying her from hearing a case involving Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, represented by her son, Aaron Susmarski.
