George H. Nofer, 94, of Philadelphia, a national leader in the field of trust and estate law and a trailblazer in supporting services for deaf individuals, died recently of natural causes.

George spent his entire legal career at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis, joining the firm after law school in 1952 and retiring as senior counsel in 2005. He chaired Schnader’s trust and estate department for many years. He was a friend and mentor to me, among many others.
