The Pennsylvania Supreme Court is expected to take on a handful of controversial topics during the oral argument session slated to take place next week, including whether pharmacies can be sued for opioid overdoses, what role the judiciary should play in evaluating proposed fracking projects and questions about the intersection of social media and due process rights.

The high court is scheduled to hear arguments in 10 cases May 18 and 19. The arguments, which are set to be livestreamed over YouTube, focus on disputes that originated in the Supreme Court’s middle district.
