Following is a listing of executive and legislative action for the week of May 17. Both houses of the General Assembly were in recess at press time. The Pennsylvania Senate and state House of Representatives were each scheduled to return to session Monday.

Lobbying Reform

Senate President Pro Tempore Jack Corman, R-Bellefonte, and House Speaker Bryan Cutler, R-Lancaster, unveiled a legislative package aimed at establishing new transparency and ethical standards for lobbyists in Pennsylvania. They plan to introduce the bills in the General Assembly within weeks.
