Mid-Atlantic business law firm Weber Gallagher Simpson Stapleton Fires & Newby entered a category occupied by only a few others last week when it announced internally that employees will have to verify that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before returning to one of the firm’s nine offices after July 12.

On Thursday, leaders at the 120-lawyer firm confirmed the details of the plan—announced during a virtual firmwide town hall at the end of May and followed by a questionnaire that sought to compile the workforce’s current vaccination status.
