All across Pennsylvania, lawsuits that had been set to come before a jury last year are now just being prepped for trial, or given dates far into the future.

It’s a lot to juggle, but attorneys are facing a new reality of rescheduled trial dates and quick preparation as courts are aiming to mitigate  growing backlogs after the COVID-19 pandemic broadly shuttered access to the legal system.
