Donald J.P. Sweeney, founder of Philadelphia defense litigation firm Sweeney & Sheehan, died June 8 at age 82, according to the firm.
Sweeney retired in 2004 from Sweeney & Sheehan, which he founded alongside Dan McWilliams in 1971. His practice focused on insurance defense, particularly catastrophic injury and products liability cases.
