Large law firms are continuing to pick up former prosecutors, with Mayer Brown making the latest move by hiring former assistant U.S. attorney Sean McDonnell. But the hiring in Big Law isn't uniform, and some firms' appetite for federal prosecutors hasn't completely picked up, even under the new Biden administration.
Some law firms are still opportunistically investing in new hires, "but others are feeling a bit saturated and want to first digest their recent hires," said Dan Binstock, a law firm recruiter at Garrison & Sisson in Washington, D.C.
